Week Six
This is a wedding at The Ravenswood Sharpthorne West Sussex and was part of our Bride and Groom portraiture session. This is pure drama and I love it because of the folly, the veil and Alyson’s beautiful posing.

About Me
It’s good to get to know your potential photographers. So, here’s a little bit more about me; I grew up in Tunbridge Wells, Kent and had a career in The City, which is where I met my Husband. Photography has always featured in my life and then I took the plunge and made the decision to pursue photography as a career and hey presto Woodland Hill Photography was born.
It has been quite a journey with wonderful and maddening moments; lots of twiddling of hair into the most unusual knots that just cannot be brushed out. Thank goodness I still have said hair, which is a miracle in itself but I have also acquired a few qualifications too.
Qualifications
I am a qualified Associate member of the British Institute of Professional Photography. A qualified and professionally certified member of the Master Photographers Association and I am entitled to use my letters and the title of Accredited Master Photographer. I also have my Associateship with the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers too. I have qualified as a Craftsman of the Guild of Photographers. Last but not least, I am also a member of Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI).
You’ve probably guessed that qualifications are important to me and my City career has definitely influenced this and the importance of training, training and more training!
Mentor
I have a mentor and with his superb guidance I have had the most wonderful journey so far but photography is a funny old thing; I don’t think there will ever be a time when one can say “now I have done it all”.
Part of the fun is making new discoveries photographically and my wonderful clients are the ones that help me to keep my photography fun, fresh and vibrant. I think that everyone is beautiful and I just love to see that beauty unfold behind the lens; beauty is more than skin deep and to see real beauty is just magical; now that’s job satisfaction.
What I Photograph
I specialise in all things wedding and portrait along with being the official photographer for Emma Tindley Couture, who is Designer of the Year. I also undertake some commercial work too as they say variety is the spice of life!
My Awards
I was also chuffed to bits to have received a number of awards every year since 2011. I was ranked 26th in the International Loupe Awards 2011 for my entry in the Abstract/Illustrative category. If you want to see a full list of my awards then click on the button below. I am very proud to have them so I hope you take a little peek!
I Would Love to Hear From You
I’ve had the privilege of being a part of so many magical moments and to be a part of your biggest life moments is truly special.
I very much look forward to hearing from you; oh and as it seems de rigueur for photographers to say what they all love; beach huts, dewy grass, chocolate and shoes seem to be mentioned a lot, well here’s my contribution. You can’t beat watching and photographing a good sunrise and sunset oh and the seasons, every one has its own beauty. The minx in me wanted to say something a bit different and if you want to know I will tell you 😉
